DAY 1 - Departing from Auckland, we visit the Waitomo Glowworm Caves and the Hobbiton Movie Set on the way,

We stay overnight in Rotorua ( or longer if you wish ).

DAY 2 - Enjoy your free time. Departing Rotorua in the evening and head back to Auckland.

Waitomo Glow worm Caves

The glow worm, Arachnocampa luminosa, is unique to New Zealand.

Thousands of these tiny creatures radiate their unmistakable luminescent light as our expert guides provide informative commentary on the Cave’s historical and geological significance.

Hobbiton Movie Set

Discover the real Middle-earth on the most picturesque private farmland near Matamata in the North Island of New Zealand, where you can visit the Hobbiton Movie Set from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film trilogy in a fascinating guided tour.

The set has been completely rebuilt and can be seen just as it appeared in the films.

Rotorua

Rotorua is known for bubbling mud pools, shooting geysers and natural hot springs, as well as showcasing our fascinating Maori culture.

You will have free time till the departure in Rotorua.

DAY 1

  • 07:00 - Leave Auckland
  • 10:00 - Waitomo Glowworm Caves
  • 11:15 - Cafe lunch
  • 13:30 - Hobbiton Movie Set Tour
  • 16:10 - Leave Matamata (Outside i-SITE, 45 Broadway)
  • 18:10 - Arrive in Rotorua.

DAY 2

  • 17:00 - Leave Tourism Rotorua (1167 Fenton St)
    *Please come here by yourself!
  • 20:10 - Arrive in Auckland

Booking

  • A minimum of 2 adults must be attending the tour for the tour to take place.
  • Application for a tour must be made by phone, fax or e-mail no later than 5:00 PM of the day before the tour.
  • Your application may not be accepted if the tour is full, prior to your booking.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation of tours is free if carried out by 5:00 PM, two working days before the tour.
  • Cancellation of tours carried out by 5:00 PM one working day before the tour will cost 50% of the price of the tour.
  • Cancellation of tours after 5:00 PM one working day before the tour will cost the full price of the tour.
  • Cancellation of fishing tours will cost 20% of the tour cost after you have sent in your form as the boat will be chartered.
  • Cancellation of Hobbiton movie set tours will cost NZ$35.00 per person as a cancellation of lunch fee if cancelled after 5:00 pm four working days before the tour.
  • Cancellation of Hobbiton evening banquet tours will cost the full price of the tour if cancelled after 5:00 pm eight working days before the tour.
  • If you won't show up at the pick-up time even after 15 mins of the time, we have to start the tours without you.

Tour Costs

  • If there are two adults attending the tour, the cost of the tour written is the cost for one person.
  • If there are two adults attending the tour, children ( aged 5~11 ) will cost half of what is written.

  • Please understand that changes of schedule, cost and tours may occur with no notice.
